SL34

SL28's partner in Kenya: a Scott Labs selection that handles wetter, higher farms and shares Kenya's bright, dark-fruit cup.

SL34 was selected at Scott Agricultural Laboratories in Kenya from a single tree on Loresho Estate near Nairobi. It does well at high altitude and with heavy rainfall, which made it a natural partner to SL28 on Kenyan farms.

Most Kenyan lots list the two together, often with Ruiru 11 and Batian. On its own SL34 is known for a dense, sweet cup with the blackcurrant and bright acidity Kenya is famous for, sometimes with a heavier body than SL28.
